Not every job is meant for everyone and it's no different with webcam modeling. It takes a certain type of person and personality to really rake in massive income with this. If someone asked you, what is it that you do for a living and you might become embarrassed, then it probably isn't the job for you. Strip Entertainment does offer privacy blocking in certain regions/states but lets be real, adult webcam modeling is a public job on public platforms, which can be accessed by anyone in the world. Most individuals families are not online in search of adult chat so you'll probably never be seen by those closest to you but if you are worried about anyone finding out that you are an adult webcam model, again, it probably isn't the job for you.

We find that when it comes down to personality, those who are upbeat, positive and bubbly who are great at making conversation, flirty and entertaining are the best fit for webcam modeling. The industry is definitely not for timid introverts. It also isn't going to be a great career choice, if you have a significant other who isn't supportive, or if you feel you have to hide it from them. In addition, this business is competitive so you have to be capable of competing. The world of webcam modeling is saturated with models, all trying to make a living, but don't worry, there is enough paying clientele willing to pay high dollar figures to chat with web models so there is enough guac to go around but some models make more money than others and how much money you make, is a reflection on your work ethic, the time you devote to your job, and how eager you are to learn the business and avoid costly mistakes. One of the biggest questions we get asked is, what are we looking for in a webcam model? Below are a few of the top things we look for when hiring interested prospects.

  1. Applicants we know have spent time on our website. If you just headed straight for the Apply page and didn't bother to read it, to make sure you have the tools necessary to start, that is not a good look and unless you have experience as a web model, someone who is looking to jump into this quickly, without taking the time it requires to ensure you are set up properly to succeed, isn't someone we look for. We make it very easy to know what you need to get started, which is outlined and recapped on the Apply page itself. If you have any questions about equipment, visit our tools blog HERE. You may also send us an email to models@stripentertainment.com or call us 1-888-64-STRIP.

  1. Great submission photos. High quality, good resolution. Applying with eye catching, unique, spicy, seductive and suggestive photos that would go into ones model bio on our platform. Applicants who just snap selfies in a mirror that are poor quality, isn't going to land you a high paying modeling job. When most people think of modeling, they have their photos taken for them and they aren't holding their arms out, snapping photos of themselves. Poor lighting, messy backgrounds and grainy or blurry photos with ones body cut off mid section, equal poor submissions. Photos taken in landscape mode (horizontally, versus selfie model or vertically are 100x better photo submissions.) Have a friend take some for you who has a good eye and a great camera, who knows a thing or two about lighting or put your camera on a tri-pod, set a timer and see what you can do if you don't have anyone to help you with this at first. Showcase variety in your photographs such as scenery changes, wardrobe changes and poses.

  1. Models that are organized. We love it when a model is ready with a pen and paper to take notes during any of our coaching meetings. When we see this, we know a model is going to do well, because it shows they are serious about their job and their money.

  1. Models who set realistic income expectations just starting out. New models, webcam modeling isn't a get rich quick job. It is one that requires time, patience and skill. It is a craft to be learned. We're here to help! We have staff on board that were in your shoes and know what it takes to be successful. When you ask what you can do to improve yourself as a cam model, the money will follow.

  1. We look for models that aspire to do more than the bare minimum. Models that understand, the longer they stream the more likely the opportunities are available to earn more.

  1. Models who are easy to work with. Quick to reply when we reach out and keep a good open line of communication.

  1. Models who understand that a little investment whether it be in toys, outfits or improving their performances spaces are important to looking their best on cam.

  1. It isn't required to have prior experience, but whether you are new to the industry or seasoned, come into this willing to learn and improve.

  1. Models who are looking for a long term career in the business.

  1. Performers who don't give up or who are not easily discouraged. Some shifts will be AMAZING and other times may be short of amazing. Look at your income collectively at the end of every month and do not assume you are going to have a bad month just because you had a shorter earning shift compared to another.

If this sounds like you and you are ready to begin your career as an adult cam model, you may visit our Apply page to learn more on what you will need to get started. We look forward to meeting you! 🥂
